Raymond Joseph Heaps ..30 July 2004... age68 .... bricklayer buider..born in Batley but lived in
Dewsbury he leaves wife pauline 2 daughters Susan and Andrea 2 grandsons Nathan and Luke 2
grandaughters Naomi and Nikita also 3 sisters and 1 brother ...... lost his fight for life
peacefully at home from cancer .. with his loving family around him ..........Raymond loved and
lived for his children.
At 18 went off to do his national service in the RAF, after he served his 2 years we married then
along came our first daughter Susan 2 years later came Andrea.
He was a good worker and would go anywhere that there was work he travelled to Germany and worked
there a long time and made lots of friends, one time when in Germany they had no money so had to
sleep in tents .. He also did lots of work in Ireland fitting bank vaults and night safes .. As he
got older he had to retire due to arthritus in his hands and legs and had to have new joints in
his hands ... but then took to computer he taught him self lots and could be seen going every day
Monday to Saturday down to Dewsbury library.... you could tell the time by him as he walked down
Halifax Road at the same time every day 6 days a week (an old soldier) .. his work mates always
said they did not need a watch as they could tell the time by him ...haha.
Raymond loved his irish music he would sit at home doing his crossword and drink his can of beer and
listen to his rebel songs. he loved his granchildren to come.......
When one of his grandaughter became ill and was paralyses he went full out for her and spent endless
hours at the hospital with her .. he then wrote a letter to the Pope John paul and asked him to pray
for her .. and got a reply back . He then started to fund raise for the \\\"FORGET ME NOT TRUST
FUND\\\" and was the first person to be awarded a trophy for his continued support which he did
right up till his death (his grandaughter is now fit and healthy now thanks to good care and lots of
prayers )
Raymond was a home bird but his niece did ask him one thing that he would attend her wedding (in
australia )and he did it for her and loved it .. but could not get him to go back again as he said
he had been once .. but I could go ..hahaha on my own .. (A TRIBUTE OF LOVE )LOVED BY MANY NEAR AND
FAR (MAGIC)
UnTILL WE MEET AGAIN
I WISH I COULD GO BACK IN TIME LIVE IT ALL AGAIN JUST REMEMBERING WHEN YOU WAS HERE TO SHARE THIS
LIFE ..I DONT KNOW WHY IT HAD TO END I TRIED TO HOLD ON TO YOU .. BUT YOU LET GO OF MY HAND THERE
MUST HAVE BEEN A REASON,, MAYBE ONE DAY YOU WILL EXPLAIN... WHEN GOD DECIDES ITS TIME FOR US .. TO
BE TOGEATHER AGAIN XXX GOD BLESS YOU

and lots more to many to name ... but i thank you from my heart ... godbless you all xx
There's a pain beyond imagining
That’s burning in your heart
For suddenly your whole world
Has been cruelly ripped apart.
All words of consolation
Which are bound to come your way
Will probably seem empty
And of little use today.
For when you ask the question why
It makes no sense at all
That one so precious had to die.
The only source of comfort
Is your memories and the love
And they will shine forever
Like the brightest star above.
A flame that burns eternally
So strong it lights the sky
And even through your darkest days
That flame will never die.
So many people share your pain
We grieve with you as one.
The gift of life gets taken back
But the love goes on and on
Peace
Raymond... you are at peace now and possible building those bankvolts in the sky and im sure its better than doing it on earth as im sure you get all the help you need up there ....I just wish Your loving wife could feel at peace too as i know she misses you dearly maybe you can help her to feel at ease and to not feel so lonely i guess what im asking Ray is that you say one for her too as i know she says many to you and Loves you very much i know it will make her feel so much better .Thanks Ray and we will all see you again in the near future that im sure .
